Official Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the Andreia Professional UK Nail Ambassador Search 2026 (the “Competition”). By entering the Competition, each entrant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Promoter

The promoter is ANDREIA PROFESSIONAL UK LTD, trading as Andreia Professional UK. The Competition is organised in partnership with Scratch Magazine.

2. Competition Purpose

The Competition is a skill-based creative competition designed to identify a talented nail professional based in the United Kingdom to become the Andreia Professional UK Nail Ambassador.

One winner will be selected for a one-year collaboration with Andreia Professional UK, running from 1 January to 31 December 2027.

Five additional entrants will be selected as Andreia Nail Friends.

3. Competition Dates

The Competition will run according to the following schedule:

  • Entries open: 5 September 2026 at 00:00

  • Entries close: 5 November 2026 at 23:59

  • Judging period: 6 - 20 November 2026

  • Winner and runners-up contacted: by 23 November 2026

  • Public announcement: 27 November 2026

  • Collaboration begins: 1 January 2027

All times refer to UK local time.

Entries submitted after the closing date and time will not be accepted. The date and time displayed by Instagram will be used to determine whether an entry was submitted within the official entry period.

4. Eligibility

The Competition is open to individuals who, at the time of entry:

  • Are aged 18 years or over;

  • Live and work in the United Kingdom;

  • Work professionally as a nail technician, manicurist or nail artist;

  • Have an active public Instagram account;

  • Are able to receive direct messages through Instagram;

  • Are legally able to enter into the Ambassador Agreement described in section 12.

Employees, officers and representatives of Andreia Professional, Scratch Magazine or any company directly involved in organising or administering the Competition are not eligible to enter. Their immediate family members and members of their households are also excluded.

Only one entry per person is permitted.

There is no separate entry fee. Entrants are responsible for any costs associated with creating and publishing their entry, including the products and materials used.

5. Creative Brief

Entrants must create an original nail design inspired by the theme:

Autumn/Winter: Your Signature Season

The entry should demonstrate the entrant’s:

  • Technical ability;

  • Creativity;

  • Interpretation of the theme;

  • Artistic identity;

  • Professional presentation.

Andreia Professional products must be used to create the design and must be clearly identified in the entry caption.

The nail look must be created specifically for this Competition during the official entry period.

Basic image adjustments, such as cropping, lighting correction and colour correction, are permitted. Digital alterations that materially change or artificially enhance the nail design are not permitted.

6. How to Enter

To enter the Competition, entrants must:

  1. Create an original nail look inspired by the Competition theme;

  2. Use Andreia Professional products in the design;

  3. Publish the completed work as a photograph, carousel or video on their public Instagram feed;

  4. Tag @andreia.professional.uk and @scratchmagazine;

  5. Include the hashtag #AndreiaUKNailAmbassadorSearch;

  6. State the Andreia Professional products and shades used;

  7. Keep the Instagram account and Competition post public and visible until at least 27 November 2026.

Instagram Stories alone will not be accepted as a valid entry.

An entry will only be considered complete when all the requirements above have been met.

The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, incorrectly tagged, removed, restricted by privacy settings or otherwise inaccessible due to technical or platform-related issues.

7. Entry Requirements

Each entrant confirms and warrants that:

  • The submitted work is their own original creation;

  • They personally created the nail design shown;

  • The entry has not been copied from another artist;

  • The entry does not infringe any third-party copyright, trade mark, image right or other intellectual property right;

  • They have obtained permission from any identifiable person featured in the content;

  • The entry does not contain unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or inappropriate material;

  • The entry complies with Instagram’s applicable terms and community guidelines.

The Promoter may request original photographs, video files, proof of product use or other information reasonably required to verify the authenticity and eligibility of an entry.

8. Judging Process and Criteria

All valid entries will be assessed by a judging panel appointed by Andreia Professional UK and Scratch Magazine.

The panel will include at least one suitably qualified independent judge. The names of the judges will be made available upon request.

Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:

  • Technical execution and overall quality;

  • Creativity and originality;

  • Interpretation of the theme;

  • Visual presentation and photography or video quality;

  • Professionalism of the content.

Unless otherwise stated in the Competition materials, the judging criteria will be considered equally.

The number of followers, likes, comments, shares, views or any other social media engagement metrics will not influence the judging process.

The winner and runners-up will be the eligible entrants whose entries receive the highest scores from the judging panel.

The judges’ decision will be final, subject to these Terms and Conditions. No correspondence will be entered into regarding individual scores or judging decisions.

9. Winner Notification and Announcement

The selected winner and runners-up will be contacted through Instagram direct message by 23 November 2026.

Selected entrants must respond within five working days and provide any information reasonably required to:

  • Confirm their identity, age and eligibility;

  • Verify their professional status;

  • Arrange delivery of the relevant prize or benefits;

  • Complete the Ambassador Agreement, where applicable.

The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact each selected entrant.

Where a selected entrant:

  • Does not respond within the stated period;

  • Cannot provide the requested information;

  • Is found to be ineligible;

  • Has breached these Terms and Conditions; or

  • Declines or fails to enter into the applicable agreement,

the Promoter may offer the relevant position or prize to the next highest-scoring eligible entrant.

The winner and runners-up are expected to be publicly announced on 27 November 2026.

The announcement may include their first name, Instagram username, location and submitted entry. Entrants may object to the publication of some or all of this information by contacting the Promoter. However, the Promoter may still be required to provide relevant information to a regulatory authority where legally required.

10. Winner’s Prize

One entrant will be appointed as the Andreia Professional UK Nail Ambassador for the period from 1 January to 31 December 2027.

The winner will receive:

  • A one-year collaboration with Andreia Professional UK;

  • An Andreia Professional product allowance with a maximum total recommended retail value of £10,000, supplied throughout the collaboration period in accordance with the Ambassador Agreement;

  • Access to selected new product launches;

  • Access to selected training and professional development opportunities;

  • Invitations to selected Andreia Professional events;

  • Opportunities to create professional content for Andreia Professional UK;

  • An opportunity to collaborate on a future limited-edition nail collection, subject to feasibility, timings, creative approval and a separate written agreement.

Access to launches, training sessions, events and content opportunities is subject to availability, location and scheduling.

Travel, accommodation and other personal expenses are not included unless expressly confirmed in writing by the Promoter.

The prize is personal to the winner, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Where a particular product or benefit becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may provide a reasonable alternative of equivalent value.

The winner is responsible for any personal tax obligations arising from the prize or collaboration.

11. Andreia Nail Friends

The five eligible entrants ranked from second to sixth place will become the first Andreia Nail Friends.

Each Andreia Nail Friend will receive:

  • Five Andreia Professional products per month for 12 months;

  • A total of 60 products during the period from 1 January to 31 December 2027.

Products will be selected by Andreia Professional UK and will be subject to availability. Where necessary, products may be replaced with reasonable alternatives.

The products are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

The Andreia Nail Friends title does not create an employment, agency or ambassador relationship. Any additional content creation, event attendance or promotional activity will be subject to a separate written agreement.

12. Ambassador Agreement

The winner’s appointment is conditional upon entering into a separate written Ambassador Agreement with Andreia Professional UK.

The Ambassador Agreement will set out the full details of the collaboration, including:

  • Content deliverables and publication schedule;

  • Brand guidelines and approval processes;

  • Product supply and benefits;

  • Training and event participation;

  • Use of the winner’s name, image and content;

  • Exclusivity and potential conflicts with competing brands;

  • Travel and expenses;

  • Professional conduct;

  • Duration, termination and cancellation conditions;

  • Intellectual property and content usage rights.

The Ambassador Agreement will not materially reduce the prize or benefits described in these Terms and Conditions.

If the selected winner does not sign the Ambassador Agreement within the period specified by the Promoter, the position may be offered to the next highest-scoring eligible entrant.

13. Content and Intellectual Property Rights

Entrants retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in their submitted content.

By entering the Competition, each entrant grants Andreia Professional UK and Scratch Magazine a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce, resize, crop, caption, translate, publish and repost their submitted content for the purposes of:

  • Administering the Competition;

  • Promoting and communicating the Competition;

  • Announcing the winner and runners-up;

  • Reporting on or archiving the Competition.

Submitted content may be used on the parties’ websites, social media channels, newsletters, press materials and other owned communication channels.

Where reasonably practicable, the entrant will be credited using their name or Instagram username.

The content will not be used for an unrelated commercial advertising campaign without the entrant’s separate permission.

Any additional content or image rights relating to the winner’s ambassador activities will be governed by the Ambassador Agreement.

14. Personal Data

Personal data collected in connection with the Competition will be processed for the purposes of:

  • Administering and judging the Competition;

  • Verifying entrants’ eligibility;

  • Contacting the winner and runners-up;

  • Delivering the prizes and benefits;

  • Complying with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Personal data may be shared with Scratch Magazine and with service providers involved in administering the Competition or fulfilling the prizes.

Entrants’ personal data will not be used for unrelated direct marketing unless the entrant has separately agreed to receive such communications.

15. Instagram Disclaimer

This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram.

By entering, each entrant fully releases Instagram from any responsibility or liability relating to the Competition.

Entrants acknowledge that they are providing their information to Andreia Professional UK and not to Instagram.

16. Disqualification

The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who:

  • Does not comply with these Terms and Conditions;

  • Provides false, misleading or incomplete information;

  • Submits work that is not original;

  • Attempts to manipulate the judging process;

  • Uses automated, fraudulent or deceptive entry methods;

  • Behaves in a way that could reasonably damage the reputation of Andreia Professional, Scratch Magazine or the Competition.

Any disqualification decision will be made reasonably and based on the information available to the Promoter.

17. Changes, Suspension or Cancellation

The Promoter may amend, suspend or cancel the Competition where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

Any changes will be limited to those reasonably required and will be communicated through the official Andreia Professional UK channels.

The Promoter will take reasonable steps to ensure that any changes do not unfairly disadvantage entrants who have already submitted a valid entry.
